The accused, all residents of Kaimur district in Bihar and temporarily living in Lucknow, had recently carried out a major burglary at the vacant home of a doctor, making off with an Accent car, gold jewellery, electronics, and other valuables. Acting swiftly, the PGI police station team, in coordination with the surveillance cell, tracked and apprehended the suspects near the Dalauna Railway Underpass along Kisan Path.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sonu Singh (26), Anurag Kumar Singh (20), and Shaktimaan Singh (26). According to police, the trio would scout residential areas for unoccupied houses and plan the burglary meticulously once they were certain the house was vacant. The incident took place on the night of July 12 at the home of Dr. Priyavrat Shukla in Eldeco-2, Raebareli Road, while he and his family had been away for 20 days. The thieves broke open the locked house and escaped with an Accent car, gold jewellery, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, a desktop computer, and a television.

Following the FIR lodged at PGI police station, the police launched an intensive investigation using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and manual intelligence to zero in on the suspects. All stolen items have now been successfully recovered, including the Accent car bearing registration number UP32GB5655, two laptops, a tablet, mobile phone, a desktop and CPU, LED TV, and a variety of gold jewellery such as maang tikka, mangalsutra, bangles, earrings, and more.
